OUR SERVICES
We focus on supporting community college students seeking transfer support as well as
new transfer students who want to succeed academically and professionally. Our college and career counseling services aim to uplift students and spur them to action.
Our goal is to "fill you in" on resources that continuing university students are already using, so you never feel behind. Beyond this, we will work with you to create a personalized plan to help you tap into your interests and ambitions on a college campus.
Below, you will find an overview of the 3 types of services we provide and our Calendly appointment page where you can book a consultation with us. Note that services with a navy sticker are geared primarily toward community college students while those with a gold one are for both, CC students and new transfer students.
College Essay Consultation
We will work together to refine your college application essays and Personal Insights Questions (PIQs). Whether it's brainstorming, outlining, or polishing - we will guide you through each step of the essay writing process.
For Haas School of Business applicants: we encourage you to book one more session in January to draft your supplemental essay.
Our employees possess a deep knowledge of UC essay writing criteria and what college admissions officers are looking for in an applicant. We will guide you to apply these principles in your own writing.
Transfer Admissions Consultation
Maybe you're in your first year at CC and feel lost. Maybe you're a second year student and are stressing out about the transfer application, because you can't think of any CC achievements to write about. What you're needing is a strategic plan to making the most of your community college experience - all with the goal of becoming a highly competitive transfer applicant.
This consultation is a great fit for community college (CC) students who want to know what they should be doing on their CC campus now to maximize their future chances of transferring to their dream institution.
We are here to amplify your strengths, identify areas for improvement, and provide targeted resources (from professor recommendations to club connections) to significantly boost your chances of attending your ideal school (UC Berkeley, anyone?).
To receive guidance on your college application essays or Personal Insight Questions (PIQs - used to evaluate applicants in the UC system), we encourage you to book a College Essay Consultation instead.
Academic + Career Consultation
This type of consultation is primarily geared toward new transfer students and community college students who have completed their transfer applications.
In this session, we will focus on study strategies and tools to help you succeed both on and beyond your college campus. We will also shift gears and focus on professional development with services such as:

Co-editing your resume.

Setting up and polishing your LinkedIn.

Conduct mock interviews for interviews and jobs.

Mastering the fundamentals of networking, both with recruiters and corporate professionals.
